DIEGO CASAGRANDE TO JOIN BARDIANI-CSF 7 SABER IN 2027.

COMUNICATO STAMPA

Il 29 Oct, 2026
The Swiss rider, national Under-23 champion in 2025, joins after two seasons with Tudor Pro Cycling Team U23.

Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber announces the signing of Diego Casagrande, who will race in the team’s colours from the 2027 season. Born in 2004, Casagrande will step up to ProTeam level, continuing his development with the squad managed by the Reverberi family.

Born on 5 August 2004, Casagrande took up cycling in 2020 after playing football. His journey began later than that of many of his peers, with a particular connection to Italy, where he competed in his first races in 2023.

Following a spell as a stagiaire in 2024, he joined Tudor Pro Cycling Team U23 in 2025. That season, he claimed the Swiss Under-23 road title following a long breakaway at the Four Nations Championships, finishing third overall and as the highest-placed Swiss rider.
In 2026, he returned to the national podium, taking silver in the Under-23 road race. His results during the season also included fourth place on stage two of the Peace Race, which he finished twelfth overall.

DIEGO CASAGRANDE’S COMMENTS:
“Racing for Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber is a major achievement for me and, at the same time, an important new beginning. Joining such a historic and respected team fills me with pride and gives me even more motivation for next year. The interest and trust shown in me by the Reverberi family and the team won me over straight away: that means a great deal to me. After two years as an amateur with VC Mendrisio and two years with Tudor’s development team, I wanted to combine the best of both experiences and join a professional organisation with a family atmosphere.I consider myself a versatile rider with strong endurance. The combination of these two qualities allows me to adapt to different terrain, from the one-day Classics in Northern Europe to stage races featuring demanding days in the high mountains. With Tudor, I gained considerable experience as a domestique, a role I enjoy and from which I have learned a lot. Now, with Bardiani, I want to race aggressively and make the most of the opportunities that come my way. My goals for next season are to continue developing physically and earn my place within the team. I want to make my mark in the most prestigious races on the calendar and enjoy a great season with my new teammates, achieving plenty of success together.”
