COMUNICATO STAMPA
Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber announces the signing of Davide De Cassan for the 2027 season. The 24-year-old rider from the Verona area, born in 2002, becomes the Italian team’s third confirmed signing, following Juan David Sierra and Simone Raccani.
A climber particularly suited to demanding courses and short stage races, De Cassan joins from General Store-Essegibi-F.lli Curia, where he enjoyed a successful 2026 season, claiming four victories.
The Italian rider took wins at the Gran Premio Città di Empoli, Giro del Medio Brenta, Zanè-Monte Cengio and Freccia dei Vini, confirming his abilities on challenging terrain. He also achieved several notable results, including second place at the Trofeo M.P. Filtri and fifth at the Flèche Ardennaise.
De Cassan has already gained experience in the professional ranks, having raced in 2024 and 2025 with Team Polti Kometa, later renamed Team Polti VisitMalta. Joining Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber represents a new opportunity to continue his development and compete on the international racing calendar.
Davide De Cassan commented:
“Joining Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber represents a huge opportunity for me and the culmination of a very rewarding season. I am truly honoured to wear the jersey of such a prestigious team, which has always been a benchmark in Italian cycling and the professional peloton. Knowing that the team believes in me is a source of great pride and gratitude. I would also like to thank General Store, the team I am coming from, for the fantastic season we enjoyed together. I consider myself a climber particularly suited to short stage races, and I also have a good finishing kick in reduced-group sprints. One of the main areas I would like to improve is my endurance on climbs and, more generally, my ability to sustain longer efforts, while maintaining my sprinting ability. My goal for next season is to make the most of every opportunity I am given and make an important contribution to the team’s results. I am highly motivated to begin this new experience, and claiming at least one victory in this jersey would be something truly special.”
With the arrival of Davide De Cassan, Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber continues to strengthen its roster for 2027, adding a rider who comes off a four-win season and already has experience in the professional ranks.
