Luca Covili claimed 10th place on Stage 4 of the Tour de Langkawi, a 142.3 km stage from Meru Raya to Cameron Highlands, the first of two consecutive summit finishes that will shape the decisive part of the Malaysian race.

The breakaway of the day managed to contest the victory, with Petr Rikunov launching the decisive attack in the final 900 metres to finish ahead of Javier Ibañez and Alan Jousseaume.
Behind them, the main group of favourites stayed together on the final climb. Covili remained well positioned all the way to the finish, taking 10th place.
Tomorrow will bring another decisive day, with Stage 5 finishing at Genting Highlands, one of the iconic climbs of the Tour de Langkawi.
