Luca Colnaghi finished 4th in Stage 3 of the Giro d’Abruzzo, the 159-kilometre stage from Oricola-Piana del Cavaliere to San Benedetto dei Marsi.

The stage, the most suited to the fast riders among the four scheduled, was characterised by a six-rider breakaway.

In the finale, Filippo D’Aiuto managed to hold off the chasing peloton and take the victory with only a few seconds to spare.
Behind him, Luca Colnaghi sprinted to 4th place, narrowly missing out on the podium in San Benedetto dei Marsi.

Tomorrow, the Giro d’Abruzzo will conclude with the fourth and final stage, from Silvi to Controguerra.
