A great day for Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber at the Baku-Khankendi Azerbaijan Cycling Race. In the fourth stage of the Azerbaijani race, finishing in Naftalan, Marco Manenti claimed his first professional victory by winning the sprint ahead of Henok Mulubrhan (XDS Astana) and Cristian David Pita (Roojai Insurance Winspace).

After finishing seventh in the opening stage and fifth in the third stage, the rider from Bergamo completed his progression throughout the race by taking victory thanks to a very composed and intelligent sprint in the finale.

The Italian team controlled the decisive phases of the race perfectly, allowing Manenti to enter the final kilometre in an ideal position. In the last metres, the Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber rider launched a powerful and precise sprint, securing the first professional win of his career.

“This victory means a lot to me. I had been chasing it for a long time and taking my first professional win with this jersey is something special. In these stages I felt really good, the team always believed in me and today we managed to turn all the work we’ve done together into a result. In the finale I found the right position and gave everything in the last metres. I have to thank my teammates and the staff because this result belongs to all of us.”

For Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber, this is an important result that confirms the growth of the Italian team’s young group and the excellent work carried out throughout the Azerbaijani trip.
