Il 10 May, 2026
The 2006-born rider finished fourth in the opening stage of the Baku-Khankendi Azerbaijan Cycling Tour. Marco Manenti also claimed a seventh-place finish.

A strong start for Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber at the Baku-Khankendi Azerbaijan Cycling Tour. In the opening stage, Filippo Cettolin, born in 2006, narrowly missed the podium by finishing fourth in the sprint won by Aliaksei Shnyrko, while also taking the lead in the young rider classification. For the young rider from Veneto, it is his best result of the season so far. It was also a solid team performance from Marco Manenti, who finished seventh.

These were Cettolin’s words:
“I’m happy with the result and with the feelings I had during the race. This year I’m going through an important growth process with the team and race after race I feel I’m improving, especially in managing the finals and racing against more experienced riders. Missing out on the podium by such a small margin and taking the best young rider jersey gives me confidence to keep working well in the next stages.”
