COMUNICATO STAMPA
Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber announces the signing of Alexander Hajek for the 2027 season. The Austrian rider, born in Hainburg an der Donau on July 19, 2003, joins from Red Bull–BORA–hansgrohe, the WorldTour team he has represented for the past three seasons.
A climber particularly suited to demanding courses and stage races, Hajek brings valuable experience gained at the highest level of professional cycling, having competed in some of the most prestigious events on the international calendar. With a strong acceleration on short, steep climbs, the Austrian rider will be an important addition to the team’s climbing squad.
Among the highlights of his career is his victory at the 2024 Austrian National Road Championships. That same season, he also finished seventh overall at the Presidential Cycling Tour of Türkiye, tenth at the Coppa Sabatini and fourteenth at the Tour of Guangxi, a WorldTour event.
In 2025, he confirmed his abilities in stage races, securing fourth place overall at the Tour de Hongrie, eighth at the Czech Tour and tenth at the CRO Race. He also finished tenth at the Trofeo Matteotti.
Alexander Hajek said:
“Joining Bardiani means a lot to me. After a challenging 2026 season, I am grateful to the team for believing in me and giving me this opportunity. I am excited to start this new chapter and take on the challenges that lie ahead. It is also a great honour to join a professional team with such a unique history in cycling. I am proud to become part of this tradition and to represent the team at the highest level. As a rider, I would describe myself as a climber who also has a good punch on short, steep climbs. I am particularly looking forward to seeing what I can achieve in stage races, where I have been able to compete at the front in recent years. My goals for the upcoming season are to continue developing as a rider, become more competitive in bigger races, achieve strong results and, hopefully, take some victories along the way. Most importantly, I want to keep learning, improving and contributing to the team’s success.”
Hajek’s arrival represents another important addition to Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber’s 2027 roster. The Austrian rider will bring his WorldTour experience to the Italian team, aiming to confirm his abilities on demanding courses and contribute to the team’s results in international competitions.
