COMUNICATO STAMPA
A few days ahead of the official start of the Giro d’Italia, scheduled from Friday 8 to Sunday 31 May, Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber has finalized its lineup. For the Italian team, this will mark its 44th participation in the Giro d’Italia, confirming its long-standing presence in the race.
The eight selected riders are: Filippo Magli, Martin Marcellusi, Luca Paletti, Vicente Rojas, Manuele Tarozzi, Nikita Tsvetkov, Filippo Turconi and Enrico Zanoncello.
These were the words of General Manager Bruno Reverberi:
“The Giro d’Italia has always been a special moment for our team. Once again, we present a young but competitive squad, built to be active in breakaways and in the more open stages. Our goal remains to achieve a stage win and to be visible throughout the race. We have riders who are developing alongside others who already have experience in the race—a combination that will allow us to approach different race situations in the best possible way.”
The lineup blends experienced riders with young talents on the rise. Among the most anticipated is Chilean rider Vicente Rojas, 2026 national road race champion, who claimed the title in March and is ready to make his mark in the more open stages.
Attention will also be on Martin Marcellusi, set to ride his fourth Giro d’Italia, after a strong start to the season with second place at La Roue Tourangelle and fifth overall at the Région Pays de la Loire Tour. In last year’s Giro d’Italia, he finished sixth on the Sestriere stage.
Luca Paletti, a young rider from Modena born in 2004 and developed through the team’s youth program, will make his Giro d’Italia debut, having already shown his potential with a fourth place on stage three of the Tour of the Alps and seventh at the 2026 Giro dell’Appennino.
Also making his debut is Filippo Turconi from Varese, another product of the team’s development system, winner in 2025 of both the Giro del Medio Brenta and the Trofeo Piva.
Manuele Tarozzi will also be at the start, one of the most aggressive riders in last year’s edition, winner of the Red Bull KM classification at the 2025 Giro d’Italia after spending over 500 kilometers in breakaways.
The team will also rely on young Uzbek talent Nikita Tsvetkov, born in 2005, who has already impressed this season with third place overall at the Tour of Türkiye, victory and overall classification at the GP Fergana, and another third place in the final stage of the Tour of Antalya.
For sprint finishes, the team will count on Enrico Zanoncello, a fast finisher from Verona, while Filippo Magli, from Montelupo Fiorentino in Tuscany, will aim to confirm his progress after taking fourth place in the Cesano Maderno stage of the 2025 edition.
The team will be led from the team car by sports directors Roberto Reverberi, Luca Amoriello and Mirko Rossato.
