COMUNICATO STAMPA
A strong performance from Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber in Stage 3 of the Tour of the Alps, the 174 km Laces–Arco stage, which concluded with a high-speed bunch sprint. The victory went to Thomas Pidcock (Pinarello Q36.5 Pro Cycling), ahead of the young Tommaso Dati and Egan Bernal. Just off the podium was an impressive Luca Paletti, delivering a high-quality sprint.
Alex Tolio gains one position in the general classification and now sits 9th overall. No changes at the top of the standings, with Giulio Pellizzari retaining the leader’s jersey.
Luca Paletti’s comments:
“It was a very fast stage and the finale was really nervous. I managed to position myself well in the final kilometers and launched my sprint with good sensations. It’s a pity to miss out on the podium, but it’s a result that gives me confidence. The team worked together all day and we want to keep going in this direction in the next stages.”
