Strong performance by Luca Covili in the second stage of the Tour of Armenia, the 177-kilometre Kirants–Stepanavan. The Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber rider crossed the finish line in sixth place, securing a Top 10 result.

The victory went to Federico Iacomoni, ahead of Leonardo Vesco, who were the protagonists of the decisive move of the day. Covili finished in the chasing group, a result that allowed him to gain four positions in the general classification and move up to 6th overall, 21 seconds behind race leader Alexandre Balmer.

Tomorrow, the Tour of Armenia continues with Stage 3, the 187-kilometre Martuni–Dilijan (Lake Parz), another demanding stage ahead of Sunday’s grand finale in the capital, Yerevan.
