A double Top 10 for Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber in the third stage of the Czech Tour, the 170.9-kilometre Pardubice–Dlouhé Stráně stage, which finished with an uphill finale.

The breakaway of the day was formed by Samuel Boardman, Nolan Huysmans, Filippo Ridolfo, Dominik Neuman, Josef Černý and Romet Pajur, before being caught ahead of the decisive part of the race.

On the final climb to Dlouhé Stráně, 13.2 kilometres at an average gradient of 5.4%, Manuele Tarozzi also tried to make his move, attacking before being reeled back in by the group.

In the finale, Alex Tolio finished eighth, while Filippo Turconi crossed the line immediately behind him in ninth place, both 13 seconds behind winner Andrew August. The American claimed his second consecutive stage victory, ahead of Alessandro Fancellu and Domenico Pozzovivo.

Turconi therefore retains fourth place in the general classification, 40 seconds behind the race leader. Luca Covili also remains inside the Top 10, sitting tenth at 58 seconds.

Tomorrow brings the final chapter of the Czech campaign with the fourth and final stage of the Czech Tour.
