COMUNICATO STAMPA
The Giro d’Italia concluded yesterday in Rome, marking the 44th participation in the race’s history for Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber. Once again, the Reverberi-managed team played a leading role throughout the three weeks of the Corsa Rosa, standing out for its attacking spirit, constant presence in breakaways, and prestigious results.
One of the team’s standout performers was Manuele Tarozzi, who enjoyed an extraordinary Giro on the attack. The rider from Faenza accumulated more than 1,000 kilometers in breakaways across the 21 stages, significantly improving on last year’s already impressive figure of 600 kilometers. His aggressive racing earned him victory in the Intermediate Sprints classification and saw him narrowly miss out on winning the Red Bull KM classification as well.
The team also achieved several notable stage results. Enrico Zanoncello finished 10th in Stage 3 and 9th in the stage to Naples, while Lorenzo Magli secured 8th place in Stage 18, which finished in Pieve di Soligo.
The most emotional moment of the Giro for Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber came during the prestigious final stage in Milan. Martin Marcellusi capped off a superb performance by claiming an excellent third place, stepping onto the podium on one of the most important days of the Giro d’Italia. Marcellusi also distinguished himself through his attacking racing style, spending an impressive 500 kilometers in breakaways throughout the race.
“We finish this Giro with great satisfaction,” said Team Manager Roberto Reverberi. “The riders approached the race exactly as we had asked: always attacking, always among the protagonists, and never afraid to take responsibility. Winning the Intermediate Sprints classification with Tarozzi, spending more than 1,000 kilometers in breakaways, and Marcellusi’s podium in Milan are achievements that reward the work of the entire team. This Giro once again confirms the strength of our project and Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber’s ability to develop young Italian talent. We return home proud of what we have accomplished and full of confidence for the remainder of the season.”
