Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber concludes the Région Pays de la Loire Tour with a top 5 finish in the general classification, after being among the protagonists throughout the week.

In the final stage, Martin Marcellusi confirmed his strong form, staying with the leading group until the decisive moments and finishing in eighth place, just behind the front group.

A result that allows him to secure fifth place in the final general classification.

Crucial to this outcome was the work done in the previous stages, particularly the time bonuses gained in the second stage, which enabled the Roman rider to remain in contention for the top positions until the final day.

“It’s been a positive week, I’m happy with the consistency I showed. Today’s finale was very intense, I managed to stay with the best riders until the last kilometres, then the front group made the difference, but I gave everything until the line. Fifth place in the general classification is a good result and gives value to the work done throughout the week. The time bonuses gained in the second stage were crucial to stay in contention until the final day. The team worked really well, we were always present in the key moments of the race. Personally, I take away good feelings, it’s a result that gives me confidence for the next races.”
