Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber played an active role in Stage 3 of the Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali, from Erbusco to Iseo (175 km), with Luca Colnaghi in the breakaway and a strong final result by Filippo Turconi, who finished 7th.

Shortly after the start, Colnaghi joined the day’s breakaway, becoming part of a group of seven riders that animated most of the stage. The peloton allowed the move to go, enabling the attackers to build a gap of over three minutes, which they maintained for a large portion of the race.

The breakaway was caught on the approach to Passo Tre Termini, where the peloton increased the pace and brought back all attackers with around 30 kilometers to go. In the selective finale, suited to fast and resilient riders, Filippo Turconi stood out for Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber, securing an excellent 7th place.
