COMUNICATO STAMPA
Bardiani-CSF 7Saber completed the Trofeo Laigueglia with a top-15 result thanks to Luca Paletti, who finished 15th on the finish line of the Ligurian race after 192 kilometres, with the arrival on the seafront of Laigueglia. A solid performance also from Filippo Turconi, who finished 23rd, securing a top-30 placing on the day.
The race came alive from the early kilometres with a breakaway of ten riders that animated much of the race and gained a maximum advantage of more than six minutes over the peloton. Later, Louis Vervaeke continued solo for over 60 kilometres, also entering the first lap of the finishing circuit before being caught.
In the final circuit, the climbs of Colla Micheri and Capo Mele ultimately selected the contenders. In the finale, Santiago Buitrago attacked on the last ascent of Colla Micheri and rode to victory ahead of Romain Grégoire and Antonio Tiberi.
Behind them, Luca Paletti finished in 15th place, the best result for Bardiani-CSF 7Saber in the Ligurian race, while Filippo Turconi completed the race in 23rd position.
