The rider from Lecco takes the win after finishing fourth at the Italian National Road Championships.

Luca Colnaghi returned to winning ways with an impressive victory at the 63rd Trofeo Città di Brescia. Racing for Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber, the rider from Lecco arrived at the race fresh from an excellent fourth-place finish at the Italian National Road Championships and proved to be the strongest in the final sprint, beating Poland’s Marcin Budzinski and Manuel Oioli to the line.

The race was decided after an attack by Carollo, Bruno and Zoccarato, with the latter being caught by the peloton just 300 metres from the finish. In the closing stages, the team led by Roberto Reverberi controlled the race perfectly, allowing Colnaghi to launch a flawless sprint and secure a prestigious victory.

Luca Colnaghi: “I’m really happy with this victory. I came here after finishing fourth at the Italian National Road Championships and wanted to confirm my good form. I dedicate this win to my family and my girlfriend, who are always by my side and support me every day. I’d also like to thank Santiago Ferraro for the outstanding work he did in the finale. Without his help, it would have been much harder to achieve this result.”
