COMUNICATO STAMPA
Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber wrapped up the Italian Road Championships with a strong team performance, placing two riders inside the top five. Luca Colnaghi finished fourth, while Marco Manenti claimed fifth place in his first-ever Elite Italian Road Championships.
Over the 232-kilometre course from Asti to Cuneo, the team directed by Roberto Reverberi and Alessandro Donatianimated the race from the very beginning by making the day’s main breakaway. Manuele Tarozzi launched the early move and was later joined by teammates Martin Marcellusi and Santiago Ferraro, giving Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber one of the strongest representations in the lead group. The breakaway stayed clear until the peloton regrouped with 84 kilometres remaining.
In the finale, the team was once again among the main contenders, with Luca Colnaghisprinting to an excellent fourth place and Marco Manenti crossing the line in fifth, securing a prestigious result in his first appearance at the Elite Italian Road Championships.
Sports Director Roberto Reverberi said:
“We raced exactly as we had planned, looking to be aggressive from the start. Having three riders in the breakaway allowed us to race offensively and put the team in the spotlight. In the finale, Colnaghi secured an excellent fourth place, while Manenti finished fifth in his first Elite Italian Championships, showing great personality. It’s a result that makes us proud and confirms the progress of this young group.”
