COMUNICATO STAMPA

Il 28 Mar, 2026
A second consecutive top 10 and confirmation among the best ahead of the final stage.

Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber continues to play a leading role at the Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali, with Filippo Turconi delivering another solid performance in Stage 4, from Ponte di Piave to Valdobbiadene (159 km), finishing in 9th place.

The day was marked by a three-rider breakaway that animated the first part of the race, holding a solid advantage before the peloton gradually reeled them in over the final kilometers. On the climbs of Rolle and Combai, the pace increased significantly, thinning out the group of GC contenders.

In the finale, decided by a sprint on a short uphill drag in Valdobbiadene, Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber was once again in contention with Filippo Turconi, who secured 9th place at the finish, confirming his consistency after the previous day’s result.

Thanks to this performance, Turconi also holds 9th place in the general classification, remaining firmly among the race’s top contenders. Luca Paletti is also moving up, now sitting 11th overall.

The stage was won by Axel Laurance (INEOS Grenadiers), ahead of Mauro Schmid (Team Jayco AlUla) and Riccardo Lorello (S.C. Padovani Polo Cherry Bank), with the French rider reclaiming the overall lead.

Tomorrow, the race will conclude with the fifth and final stage, from Cormons to Gemona del Friuli (165 km), which will be decisive for the overall classification.
