A long day on the attack for Manuele Tarozzi. In the finale, Filippo Turconi finishes 15th, with Martin Marcellusi 18th.

Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber was among the protagonists at Gran Piemonte thanks to Manuele Tarozzi, who featured in the breakaway of the day together with eight other riders.

The move formed after around 15 km and animated much of the 185 km race from Asti to Bra, before being caught on the first ascent of La Morra, around 40 km from the finish.

In the finale, the race was shaped by an attack from Isaac Del Toro and Finn Fisher-Black, who were caught with just over one kilometre to go. The final corners were also affected by several crashes, before Dorian Godon took the sprint victory ahead of Anthon Charmig and Alberto Bettiol.

For the team, Filippo Turconi finished 15th, while Martin Marcellusi placed 18th.
With Gran Piemonte completed, attention now turns to Il Lombardia, the “Race of the Falling Leaves” and the final major appointment of the season.
